Produced my first snow!*pics*
I was away for a week when my wife called me on the cell while on my way home to tell me that there is a surprise waiting for me in the incubator when I get home.
The mother is the same amel I paired with a friend's Lavender. I paired her with my snow corn to produce this little screamer. I suspected that she was het for snow but wasn't sure. Well I'm sure now! Shed laid a small clutch of 8 eggs for her second clutch and of the 8 at least two so far are snows.
Thanks for looking,
Trevor

What a beautiful baby!! It is always so much fun to hatch out something unexpected (or hoped for). Lovely little one - the mom is a very pretty amel too - bet you have lots of lovely amel babies - more pics!
edit - speaking of pics - any more shots of that clutch you had from your hypo motley male - still hoping for some comparison shots between the normal and hypos from that group - was a neat pairing and was hoping to see how the hypos are growing up - thanks,
mary v.

Well after I posted this I looked into the incubator and this is what I saw,
Not bad for 8 eggs!
As for the other clutch Mary they are all gone. I kept the brightest one for my self but I think that in the end there were no hypos. I'll post a pic when I can so you can see for your self. I sent a few pics off to Simon and he thought that they were all normals.
Cheers,
Trevor

Aren't they great? Some days I want to sell them all to make room and free up some time for my other more "profitable" *coughs* projects and other days it's all the other stuff I want to sell and just work with corns because they are so much fun.
Cheers,
Trevor

Same with me!
I'm getting a bunch more this year and I keep thinking "What am I doing THAT for?" But I enjoy working with them and THAT'S all that matters to me.

Well the Gods of odds have smilled upon me in a pretty big way.
Out of 8 eggs 4 are snow! Two are out and two are still in their eggs.
Check out the patterns on these guys! Perfect or what?
Cheers,
Trevor
