Superworms take a LOT more care than regular mealworms. Superworms will not pupate in the "general" population, you need to separate them into small containers. Go to a craft store and get some plastic bead trays. They are usually about $6 each for tray with 24 separated "bins" at Michael's. I'm sure you can find something cheaper at walmart too.
Separate the LARGEST worms into the individual compartments with a bit of "substrate." It takes between 7 - 10 days for them to pupate. Leave them alone until they turn into beetles, and then put them into a "beetle" bin.
You will have to rotate the beetles about every two weeks into a new bin to make sure they don't eat the eggs and the older larvae (superworms) don't eat the eggs.
You can't put the beetles in the same container as the larva.
ALWAYS make sure to give them some sliced potatoes, carrots, apples, ect, to make SURE they have enough to drink or the worms will eat each other. Do NOT put them in the fridge or they will die.
Good luck!
