URI question

What is the usual treatment for a URI? I am sure Our Rainbow Boa has one as I can hear him wheez when I handle him. I have tried raising the temp with no help. I have a Vet appointment for next week, that is the soonest we can get him in.

I'm not much help....
I definately think a vet visit be warranted tho and see what they say.

Hopefully someone else can post some help till you can get him in.

Good luck.

Make sure the vet does a culture for sensitivity, so the proper antibiotic treatment is prescribed. In the meantime, make sure your husbandry is 100% correct, as improper husbandry is most often the cause of respiratory infections in the first place. Keep temps at the warmer end, but not too warm since these snakes are sensitive to higher temps - you don't want to stress your snake out more hence further weakening his condition.
