Calico?
I saw these pics on Brian sharps web site. Just wonderign if the gene is proven to be genetic and if so what (ressesive dominent etc...) seems cheap at 1200 pair(for what they are).

....
Babies come out normal and develop the white spots over time. Genetics is not fully known at this time. THAT"S why they are cheaper than if it was single recessive or co-dom, etc etc.

Wierd how the Calico in most snakes work. Someone should do a study on the Calico gene.

I was kind of upset at Brian Sharp.
I saw his table at the Chicago show and he didn't have a single anery BRB or a single calico brazilian.

Just one more thing about Brian.
I see him advertising alot about his special breeds of brazilians but I'm not very happy with the small numbers of pics he seems to have of them. For instance the Anery BRB has only one pic of very low quality. For the price he wants I would like to see a lot more and a lot better quality photos. Feels kind of shady.

Brian has a very good reputation in the hobby and I'm sure he would be more than happy to share new pics with anyone that was seriously interested in purchasing some of his animals..
The reason why many high-end breeders don't share too many pics of their animals is because of the people that try to reproduce those pics without the breeders permission. It has happened many times to Brian and others. Myself I've only seen about 5 pics of the Anerys and they all seem to properly represent the animals IMO...
Hope this helps... Take care....

I guess thats understandable but he didn't have any at the show.
And the only pics he had at the show were the poor quality ones that are on the web site.
On the other side of the coin East Bay Vivariums has DOZENS of pictures of their hypo brazilians. I must admit honestly that I feel much more comfortable purchasing from EBV vs Brian Sharp.
I can understand only showing a few photos. But the Anery BRB photo he has is such poor quality I am not able to tell anything from it. When I do manage to raise the cash for a morph I know I'm going to be spending the extra money for the Hypo at EBV.
I'm not saying that Brian is a bad guy or anything. But I would really have liked to see them in person at the show. I made a long trip to get there and would have liked to at least seen one in person.

I was digging those Hypo. A bit pricey and I really don't fancy the idea of buying 2 hets since I will produce unknowns. Hope those prices come down soon.
