Do crested color changes indicate anything???

Hi all,
Pretty new to the crested scene. I know that they change color but does anyone know if the color changes indicate anything ex: stressed out, ready to breed etc. I know chameleons will change color if they get stressed so just wondering about the cresteds.
Mine are sometimes a pale brown to white and other times will be dark brown with black stripes. Just wanted to make sure they are not stressed out because according to my research, I am housing and caring for them properly.
Thanks,
-Reptiguy-

Im not to sure but I dont think it has much to do with stress, more temperature and lighting. Thats what I have noticed at least.
