Actually, every Home Depot I went to when I was looking for glass didin't sell glass at all. Some store policy, they only sell Plexi. Pick up your Yellow Pages and start calling glass companies (i.e. Speedy Glass, etc.) I'm sure most of them are open on a Saturday at least.

I have bought glass from Flintstone glass. They have a couple shops in the GTA and will get whatever type you need and cut it for you..
Mikey is right. Home Depot stopped selling glass about 2 years ago... But Home hardware still has plate glass but if you need large thick pieces you might be out of luck
Do an internet search or check the good ol yellow pages.

Yep, like the others mentionned, you'll have to find a glass store/distributor.

When I was modifying an enclosure last year, I needed some pieces of glass and looked at all the hardware stores. I finally found a company that specialized in glass and got what I needed but at a ridiculous price. Had I known prior I would have shopped around more.

Speedy Glass is the best. I called around in Mississauga, and found out that out of the top 5 companies, Speedy had the best prices... Good luck

I would NEVER actually "buy" glass. Every single home in North America is or has been switched from aluminum framed to vinyl frames. They don't re-use the glass, they junk it. But they need to re-claim the aluminum, because its rare and expensive now. Go to a vinyl window shop that replaces peoples home windows and you'll find a TON of free glass. I have literally TONS of the stuff. Every single thickness and grade you could think of.

Free.
