Ya, uros are the best! They are so cute, and each has such a distinct personality!

You might try with Lindsay Pike. I don't know if he ships to Canada, though... Here's the website: http://www.urotopia.com

I don't know any local breeders. You will want to get captive bred.

These pictures were taken about a year ago. I don't really have anything more recent, and find taking pictures of the Ornates is very difficult. They always change colours on camera. The male pictured is actually very, very blue now with yellow markings.

Now that it's summer perhaps I'll try some out door pics with them.

We have 3 uromastix at the moment. And to tell you the truth, initially I found those reptiles looked stupid. I always said they suffered from trisomy 21 gene deficiency. Which is true if you look at their faces ;-)

But today, I have to say I like those guys quite a lot. We rescued 2 and my gf bought a male in a petshop. I still don't understant where they get their energy from to be so hyper during the day!!!

By the way, very nice ornates you have there Niagara, think you will have babies from them soon?

I have a pair of uro geyri with 15 captive born babies and a pair of ornate uros. There are pics in my gallery. They are truly awsome creatures! I love my uors!!!

Thanks for the nice words guys.

This coming winter will be my first attempt at Uro breeding, so we'll see how it goes.......I bought two pairs of Ornates as juveniles and they are just getting up to size now. I also have U. hardwicki that we are raising up from hatchlings.
