How long is the snake?I live in a area with thousands of garter snakes and can reconize a male or female in a flash.

the snake is approx 21-22 inches long. she was sold to me as a female, but compared to my other females, she has a smaller head like my males. i tried looking at her tail from the side but that didn't help at all. she looked more like my males than females. the sex of my other garters are more obvious to me. this one has me confused. i appreciate all the feedback! thank you.

The best way to sex a garter visually is to have a lateral shot of the tail aka sideview. It kinda looks male-ish, but that's probably only 20% accurate. A better pic maybe?
