Solving one-sided limits

Because I have so much faith in you all, you can help me with my exam review (because I lost my early notes).

lim . . 1
x>1- x-1

To solve this you make a chart and plug in numbers very close to, but slightly smaller than 1, and if it is positive, the number is approaching infinity, and if negitive the number is approaching negative infinity?

Is this right?

Jason

ur right about the make a chart and plug in numbers. after u plug in numbers you look for a pattern of what the numbers seem to be approaching. u could also make a graph and see what y value it's approaching when x=1. the infinity thing is for when you have an asymptope at x=1. i don't understand what you mean by . . 1 though. hope that helped
