LOL - so ugly they're cute!
We have a mourning dove's nest underneath our balcony. I was able to snap a couple of pictures, I'll see how they come out. I don't get to see the babies until they're fully feathered though

LOL
You would think with all the snakes we all have birds wouldn't be building thier nest so close. LOL
Right out side our door a dove has a nest on one of the display cases we aren't using. I think it's maybe 2 steps from the door, i would think with all the traffic she wouldn't have made a nest but everytime we go out there she sits still and turning her head to watch us. I can even get into the chest freezer right next to her without her getting defensive.
Maybe they can just sense that we aren't going to cause any harm.

you're definately right. But then I can't take the nest away with the babies there....besides...I have 3 nests....all with babies....heck its nice seeing them grow....I know for sure that one of the 'family' had a second batch already cause I saw one of them learning how to fly around last month...and now that one is gone, there are new babies churping all over the place....(its really noisy too...)

But yeah I really have to watch for the stuff that they bring in.....(or near my house actually).....not a good thing but then I still can't do anything to them...just can't bear seeing anything go wrong with them....they're like part of my 'collection' now....lol

We have a couple birds living in our eaves right now... the other day when i was cutting the grass i see this thing fall out of our eaves... turned out that something pushed the bird out of the nest... not to interfere with nature i just left it (not to mention we don't have a ladder to get up that high)...

I had a pigeon nest with an egg on my balcony but my landlord found it and threw the egg and the nest away so they don't **** every where.
