Here is exactly what I did using a 20 qt. clear rubbermade.

I also use Greg Maxwells rubbermaid for our GTP.

Obviously that would be a terrible choice for colubrids as hatchlings could easily slip out the top. For other snakes I use heat mats or heat tape underneath the rubbermaids controlled with dimmers or thermastats.

Here is an older pic of my Ball Pythons rubbermaid set up using a heat pad, thermastat, two hides, water dish:

The circular temp thing is garbage, as they are not accurate. I have long since been purchasing high quality digital thermometers.
