War room

O.K. so it's not CentCom here at MacDill AFB, but it'll do. About 1/2 of my breeders and yearlings. Not much to look at but does the job. Mostly scrap wood etc.

I'd "settle" for that set up. It looks pretty cool.

Jeff,The bigger ones are the #2221(I think) rubbermaids-28qt(U.S.). There's 24 smaller (14 qt) below the ones on the back wall behind the aquariums I forgot to move out of the way. Another 12 of the 28's out of the pic on the right,a dozen on the left, and tmtc 32 oz. boxes for hatchlings. And lots of the shoebox size everywhere! I'm getting ready for a "remodel" to better use the space.Hopefully move the rodents out too. I'll post some pics when(if) I get done.

looks great......when using the rubbermaids in a setup like that what do you use as a heat source and where is it placed?...I'm curious cause I wouldn't mind building something like that when my collection starts to grow

Hey,crochhunter, I don't need any heat here in FL.! In fact, I've got an a.c. that's out of the pic on the left-floor level.(Keep my mandarins down low). But it would be fairly easy to use the heat tape along the back/bottom. Basically on the ones in center of photo, I used a piece of 1/2" plywood cut to width (17" I think) and placed a row of boxes on top. Measured heigth of box, added 4-6 "blocks" at the center and corners for brace, and did the same as I added more rows. The melamine ( shelves from a store that was closing) ones were even easier. One piece on the bottom, row of boxes, another shelf piece, another row of boxes, and so on... 1"x3"'s for "legs" screwed into shelves from the side.Voila! It's amazing what you'll find if you look. People are always tossing out "perfectly good" (for herpers!) shelving units, and the like.
