Unhappy Just a question..

I was just wondering if anyone has tried feeding any of their snakes etc. Farm raised Pigeons. Not the ones the you see in the middle of Younge St. Im talking about Pigeons that are raised for the sole purpose of meat. I know that some people eat these, but i was wondering if anyone has tried thier herps on them?? I'm only curious cause i have available to me approx. 200 of them from a local farmer. Anybody tried this?

Well I dont know how the hollow bones of foul could affect the snake but in the wild they eat birds anyways. I wouldnt feed them alive. Also what is this breeder feeding the pigions?? If they are like living on dogfood or something then I would not consider it. But if they are healthy give it a try. Just make sure you have extra vitamen suppliments for the snake. Pigons are not like the chubbiest of birds

Back in the day.....

I used to have several large boas and I fed pigeons for about a month. Let me tell you, they liked them fine, and they grew from them I'm sure, but the feces were something else!! I quickly switched back to rats!

Silvertongue: They are being fed corn pellets aswell as some other dry foods. They are being fed as raised just as chickens.
