Question Normal Amel?

This girl was sold to me as a Hypo Albino corn. I had never heard of a hypo albino but I liked the girl anyway and bought her. She is a yearling this month. Let me know what you guys think of her.

I think she's gorgeous and my daughter better not see her because her favorite color is orange and she'd have a fit over her! LOL

Yep....

That's a hypo albino (hybino). You can tell because of the reduced white. Think about it. In an albino, all the normal black parts are white, right? So if the black parts are reduced (ala hypo), then the white parts in the albino version would be reduced too.

I think that she is an amel (could be a sunglow)
Sunglows are just mainly selectively breed amels that basically reduces the amount of white that amels has. So basically a perfect sunglow is an amel without any white at all.

But this is only my opinion only.
Hope this helped!

Good Luck and happy Herping!

To my beautiful Amel he is ready for breeding and I have no mate for him. I would be willing to stud him to ya for half the babies

Breeding her to a lot of things could help identify what she is het for. Eg, breeding her to a normal definate het for anery should produce some snows and normals. Or normals het for amel should get some amels (all these are assuming that the female you have is not het for anything else.)

So it really depends on what you want to find out that your gal is het for.

From the size of the picture, she looks kinda small....maybe you should think about breeding her next year in 2004 instead of this coming one.....

NO I am not going to breed her until next year. She is just a yearling. I am going to wait until she is full grown.

Simon how does

normal het anery x albino = snows?

The normal would have to het albino and the albino het anery as well, ?

I think to prove if she's hypo breed her to a ghost and see if you get any ghosts in the clutch.

if the normal is het for anery
and anery x amels = snow (basically) then
normals het for anery x amel = normals het for amels and some will be snows.....
basically that is whats going to be coming out...
