Anyone seen this before?
Hey,
My crested gecko sleeps like a bat. During the day she is normally seen hanging off a leaf. It's hilarious. But is it normal?

I've seen a couple of mine to that, I do believe that it is normal. However, my cresties now sleep in the hide boxes that i've made them.

In the wild, they sleep while curling up on twigs. It's pretty bizarre looking. Honestly, though, I would probably add some kind of a hide for it, just in case.

I believe the cork bark on the branch acts as a hide......

That's what i was aiming for (bark atop of branch).
I tried putting a hide inside. But they seemed attracted to the plant -she still sleeps bat-like with the hide. It, however, had one purpose: to defecate on. So i decided to take the it out.
Anyways, thanks for the answer i was seeking. It's still hilarious...

You know, the more I think about it, the more it makes sense that they're attracted to the leaves. It may very well be because they sway easily, which allows the gecko to know when something is near, in order to avoid predation. Instinct basically.

That's awesome! Now I wish I had a see-through cage as I wonder if my cresteds do that Cutie of a crestie too!

she's new to my family of geckos. There is also another crested in the tank. he/she usually sleeps under the cork.
The tank isn't from MD. I built that one.
