Personally, I have a total of only 4 ...however probably closer to 100 by augest ... anyways, I have always tried to mix the diet. Yes mice have been associated with liver disease, however, now and then has never been a problem. I also feed mine (depending on size) crix, freshly shed superworms, waxworms, silkworms, and vitamin coated goldfish. variety is the key. In the wild they are know to try to eat anything. Many horses are known to be attacked on the mouth when foraging. A lot of people say that small diets are the key, however, they are well adapted to eating large diets now and then. they have very large elastic stomachs (compared to body size). Best of Luck. And one word of advice, if you feed large goldfish, make sure they are very "flippy".. its kinda funny, but sad, when you see your frog sitting there and its stomach is bouncing around ..lol... Take care
