hard to breed torts?

So im pretty sure im gonna get a male to go with my female russian tortoise...now i know how to care for them but i have no idea how to breed them. Is their a brumation period that needs to take place? Is it hard to breed them and thats why not a lot of people do or are they to expensive to breed or what...also how many babies come out of each part, how many times can they breed a year...(anyone have a good breeding caresheet for russian torts lol) ...also is their a demand for them, if i bred them and held a table at the show or something, would i sell them?

since they would be wc parents but cb kids would i say cb babies or how else could you put it...and what is the average price, abour what 400? If i sold them for lets say 250 each, would i most likely sell them easy?

thanks for answering any of these questions if possible, and if you have a caresheet that answers most of these thanks again!

cheers!

"The females rarely seem interested and do their best to escape. When the male mounts the female he assumes an open mouth posture and squeals. "

You don't seem to have a very mature perspective on the subject..Do you just want to breed them to make money?

If the price is about 400each for wc, and he would be selling his cbb babies for around 250 each, I dont think he's in it for the money. Maybe he just wants to get more cbb's into the market. Bartman size cage do these guys need as adults? They look pretty interesting and i could quite possibly see a tort in the future

thats my only problem if i buy the male. As of now ill be fine but forsure when they get bigger and more toward breeding size im pretty sure im going to need a bigger thank..now its only 4x2x2, wood custom. I think ill need a 5x1.8x1.8 that now im using for my sav anyway..and he'll need to be moving on up to a bigger tank so ill be using that for them in the winter..when its warmer they'll be outside a lot.

The 400 is for cb im pretty sure...and wc are around 225ish, what im thinking on gettting the male for. So i was just thinking to get the torts out into the market faster, i could sell them for less and it would bring an intrest for people. I dont care if i make another 100 bucks but i would really like to see a lot of people breeding them. I was talking to a guy who emailed me, im pretty sure johnynym on these forums, but i could be very wrong lol, and he was saying how their wasnt enough people breeding russians or any tort for that matter. Id really like to see more people breeding and owning them. And id also really like to take on a project like that, i love hatching out tiny little animals...its so rewarding, the only problem is i wont be able to let any of them go lol!
