When should I worry??

Jake the snake ( also known as the 6 million dollar snake) has shed his whole body EXCEPT his head. He shed on the weekend, and his head is not even loose yet. I have been giving him warm baths, gently rubbing his head, put a warm moist hide in the cage, used a high quality hand lotion( as per the BC Manuel) to no avail. Should I worry yet, it has only been a couple of days?

I wouldn't worry yet, worst case it will most likely com off the next shed. If you want it off now put the snake in a wet warm cotton(or somthing that breaths when wet) pillow case for a few hours and that should do the trick. make sure the bag can breath when wet or the snake could suffercate.

Piers, Thanks. I have put him in a small aqaurium with warm wet towels and a rock to rub against, but he just loafed there. With all the problems that this snake has had, I worry about everything now. Where in BC are you?

I wouldn't bother with hand lotion. High quality or not, it still has stuff in it such you may not want to be lathering all over your snake's head. I would just recommend placing him in a wet pillowcase for a few hours to crawl around (in a warm place). Bathing, moist hides, etc. all don't usually do much for stuck shed on their head since it isn't exposed to those parts as much.
