Heat pad under or back

Can anyone tell me whats better for a pacman, a heating pad underneath or on back?

I am thinking underneath defeats the natural idea that they borrow to cool down so right now its on the back. I am just curious. Any idea which is preferred?

Back will do the trick. it allows him to burrow if he is too warm.. but you knew that already
You only need to put a small one on... but with that humidity and the light that you haveon their.. you may not need one. I keep mine at 76 dth and 68 ntl.
Anyway.. enjoy your pacman.

Thanks! My temps are around 81 in the day (hot side) and 76 at night (hot side) with a room temp cool side. So I think I'll leave on the back for now.

81 is plenty warm enough for your pacman frog, even cooler at night would be fine too. Unless your room is really cool, you probably don't need any supplemental heat at all.

Sweet thanks Scotty! Sounds like everything is fine.

Sorry for all the questions folks! I am more nervous with this guy than any other reptile we have! Our first Pacman we bought three years ago....he was amazing but sadly died after only a couple weeks. We REALLY liked him and me and my BF were upset when he died. I decided to hold off a couple years to get another one until I had a better grip on general frog husbandry etc. So I am really "motherly" over this new guy.
