I built my new enclosures for BRB with rubbermaids and the hides are rubbermaids as well, but it is a clear plastic. Would it be ok to spray paint the outside? I don't want to wrap it in tape as Ive heard that that can be dangerous. Any other suggestions?
I believe spray paint is used OUTSIDE aquariums on the back and sides. I'd NEVER use it in a fish tank. Spray painted things smell like spray paint. I wouldn't use it. Maybe I am wrong though.
you can spray paint PVC pipe and spray bars and I use PVC and eggcrate racks to hold frags closer to the light so that they grow out faster adn can be glued to rocks
when spray painted, you don't have an obnoxious white thing in your tank...however I've started to just let algae cover it instead...algae's free and more plentiful
