Sadly, my first snake of the 2004 season was discovered DOR (this snake and the top snake are the same)

My first was a DOR as well, sad, hopefully not a bad omen to this years season.

Well, sound like i did a good job making it look as though it is alive...

I know that they are the same snake because I pealed it of the road before I posed it and made it look alive. The road kill picture is the "before" picture, and the top picture is the "after" picture.

Haha, thats great! I dont think I would have ever thought of that. Yeah, you did a good job on that for sure! He looks alive to me as much as any snake, although closer inspection of the top pics shows the poor guy sandwiched in between two rocks...

First Snakes of 2004

Paddled Cedar Creek in the Congaree National Park in South Carolina on March 7th. Saw 5 brown water snakes and 1 banded water snake.
