Another Brazilian

Well today I purchased another brazilian Rainbow Boa and all I can say is I love this snake. I got to see a wild caught brazilian at a reptile show today that was pretty angry at me. Poor guy tried to take a peice of my face when I was holding him, Luckily I move pretty fast and was able to avoid any contact. But he was still a beautiful snake. If he wasn't a wild caught snake I would have loved to add him to my collection. The fact that the vendor had no information about the snake, like they didn't know if it would feed how old "not even an estimate" didn't know about anything really. I was kind of depressed by the whole thing. But I'm not about to start funding scheisters either.

Oh and sorry for the lack of pics here I've not gotten around to photographing the new arival :blowup:

I know the feeling, I need to build some shelving or something to start housing my snakes because I am most definatly out of room

I wouldn't support the wild-caught trade either. We all work too damn hard for someone to rape the wilds for pennies and sell them at shows for a profit. It WILL come to an end one day.

Thats exactly how I feel jeff, with the number of brazilians in captivity there really is no need to catch and sell wild snakes.
The markings on this snake were beautiful and might have been a great snake to breed that doesn't make up for the fact that it should have been left alone. I would understand if it was an albino. Then there would be a reason to get it out of the wild since it probably would not be able to survive on its own sinces its natural markings are going to be a give away to any predator.

Blah I'll shut up. I just can't get over what that place was doing....
