Rough or Smooth Green Snakes

Can anyone tell me the difference between the two snakes? I currently have a ball python who is doing well, but I am looking for a small snake I can feed crickets to as well. If you know of one that would be better facilitated in captivity would you please let me know?

Thanks a million,
Emerald

Roughs fare better in captivity than smooths.

smooth greens are much harder to find i don;t know about there but in ontario u need a permit, rough greens are supposed to be hard to take care of in captivity but wiht proper care they should be hardy theres a great book called the basic care of rough green snakes by philippe de vosjoli it has alot of useful info. good luck if u decide to get a rough or smooth green snake post some pics if u buy one
