Herping question

From the talk of my previous post, it has gotten me thinking. A few were talking about herping on Pelee island. Now my question is, has anyone gone out to the Sister Islands? You can't get there by ferry, only by boat (not an easy place to get to). I've been to Middle Siseter Island and actually looked around. I was just reading an Ont. org page about the lake erie water snake and can be found on these islands. All we saw were birds, but it could have been the wrong time to go. Well, my husband and I were just thinking about trips for the spring/summer/fall. My dad has a boat up there and it would be fun to go regardless. Anyone have any info.?

Dani,

Middle sister is pretty small so you won't find much there other than birds. Probably water snakes occasionally. East sister is much larger and has fox snakes and garters as well. I've never been, but I do hope to get out there one day. There is a summary of wildlife surveys from the islands around somewhere that I've read, but I can't remember where at the moment.
