My pair breeding finally - DIRTY PICS ;)
I decided to see if my pair were interested in breeding last night, and it took a while for them both to be interested, but they got it done, and hopefully in a months time I will have some nice white suprises in the nest box.
The last picture just looks so funny cause it looks like they both have big grins on their faces.
They had been seperated since after Christmas, and I guess they missed each other lol...

LMAO! In that last picture, they are both like 'what the hell are you looking at?'
Haha, nice pictures. You seem to have a talent for photographing these things

Yes it is. I use bran as it seems the easiest to clean and keeps any unwanted smells at bay.

Has anyone ever had the male bleed from his vent after they were done? I thought that it was maybe normal but no one has ever heard of it. Not sure what to think about it. The male was fine after, and there wasn't too much blood, but there was some. anyone have any opinions? Something that I should get looked at by a vet?
Greg

Greg, Did they get interrupted? Sometimes if the male "pulls out" too quickly, injury can happen.
You said just a little blood eh? Not anything that you had to stop the bleeding?
Personally, I would keep an eye on him, and as long as he's going poo and acting normal, I wouldn't worry.
A severe injury would cause a LOT of blood, that you would have to apply pressure to stop.
Good luck with the babies

LMAO! I LOVE the last pic!
Looks like the female is saying ''I'm innocent, I swear.''
And the male is saying ''Uh-huh, you know what we did!''
Good Luck with the babies!
