Uromastyx make excellent pets. They are completely docile and will almost NEVER bite. They will lash there tail once in a while if there snuck up on..i know one of my guys does that but other then that there just great. There not to cheep though so it all depends on how much your willing to dish out. Final costs could be up in the 400's id say unless you can get deals on things like tanks, lights, and the uro itself. I got a cb for 150 which was an excellent deal since most, in pet shops are up at 250. WC, which i dont really suggest, are about 100. I have one wc but that was before i really knew much bout reptlies Think about getting a uro..there great!
btw the prices i was talking bout were for maliensis species of uromastyx. Id say their the most common in the hobby

blue tongued skinks make the best lizard pets, imo. closely followed by uromastyx (and of course, leos).

ditto on all of the above. Crested geckos are great but a little more maintinence than the uros due to the higher humidity requirements. If you want to handle them often go with uros. Gargoyle geckos are my new favorite too. Very similar requirements as crested geckos as they're from the same area.

Yes, i agree with jeff.
If we knew more about what you were capable of owning it would be easy for everyone to throw out some reptiles. How much money are you willing to spend (for everything), how much room do you have, do you have a petstore with feeders that you can get all the time. If you get the uro's make sure they have the food you need at a near by grocery store or it can be a huge hassel to get the required food items everytime. More details would be very helpful!
