piggy red belly
this is my red belly's new tank. i still need to get a few things. at first my turtle wasn't touching his plants, well, he was digging them out of the gravel but i put some bigger rocks on them and he can't dig them out. i figured he was too busy swimming around to eat. i was busy doing alot of things and the last time i had to go in the herp room he was chowing down. he was going to each plant and eating away at it. i'll be suprised if theres any thing left in the morning. should i put less plants in next time or what? thanks

It does. At the right handside you can see a plexiglass ramp. You have to look hard. I almost said the same thing. lol

yup, he has a basking spot, he never uses it though, hes always in the water, he'll put his feet on the lower ramp and have his head stick out. and if i put him on it he jumps right off. =) oh and those plants, there gone, he ate them all

The combo hood looks pretty close to the ramp. Is the basking spot too hot maybe? Throw a thermometer on the ramp and check the temp. I think 90 to 100 is lots hot enough. Maybe that's why he's not using it?
