White backgrounds on web pages are just wrong. Pick a more neutral color that isn't so incredibly hostile on the eyes. (By the way, I also think that background patterns are tacky and ugly too, so don't go jumping to those either, lol). Just a different background color will make the site 100 times better. Other than that, it looks good.
