Ah cool! If our landlord actually allowed us to own "fuzzy" pets, I'd definitely go for it!

Vanan and I have both wanted pet skunks, but they have they're own set of problems, that are very different from cats and dogs.
On the whole though, I think they're pretty darn cute, especially the babies! I think they'd be great for a large mammal pet home.

Ahhh gosh, I've wanted a skunk ever since I could read and got the "Animals Can be Almost Human" reader's digest book Think the smell of a skunk would stress out the snakes?

Permits are required to own native skunk species, not sure about other skunks... I suppose it would be just like any other animal and vary from municipality to municipality. I know in some places it is illegal to own the native coloured animals, but morphs are are permitted, as it shows that they were captive bred. Wonder if that would be acceptable anywhere in Canada?

The only information that I could find said that it was legal to own skunks in Alberta, but not (and that was a big not) in Ontario... I couldn't find anything for the rest of the provinces.

My Mom had a pet skunk when she was a kid. She says it was one of the best pets she ever had.

Why not? Skunks are about the only furry creature not domesticated yet.
