Nice snake. I seen a documentary on them once, they're very interesting.

Thank you.
It is about a specimen imported adult.
I had first bought a couple, but while probing them I have since the second was also he a male! It died a short time after the capture.
I have this one only that I accustomed to eat himself of the dead mouse. It carries itself very well. I wait to find a beautiful adult female to form a reproductive couple.
I adore this species indeed. Undoubtedly one of the snakes that I prefer.
For the manipulation, I use some gloves. Bite is not dangerous. It is about opisthoglyphe. I already had the fingers lulled with bites but nothing besides.

This species is not venomous..so why is it posetd here..lol. Although i do know that Ornata does bite more than the other Chrysopelea spp.
Anyway...nice pic! The snakes themselves have never really faired too well for me in captivity. However, all my specimens are Chrysopelea paradisi and WC. I released them all (4 in total) after i noticed that they were not doing too well.
The flying snake will be my future study project.. so excited!!

Chrysopelea sspp is an opisthoglyphe! Him little therefore to be considered like venomous, I made the bad experience besides over and over again of it.
To say that it is not venomous is incorrect. Doesn't it represent a real danger certainly for the man, but where to stop? A Thelotornis or a Dispholidus are opistoglyphes... does one have to consider them then as non venomous?? I don't think it LoL; -)

It is not very aggressive, only at the time of the manipulation or they bite in all.
Otherwise, I already opened the terrariums as being to take some photos without they don't jump outside.
It is one very pleasant species has maintain because one sees them the whole time in their branches.
Besides they move in a special manner while swinging their neck.
They also have an excellent vision and reference mark the least of my movements to 4 meters.
When they eat them even, it is a true happiness!
