Wink i did it.

i did the head pinch thing for the pinkies and fuzzie's and i think i did good. they were dead in less than 30 sec. i just wish there was a nice painless way to kill them. i hate it when they twitch, or when the make noise. but all for my loves i guess. i posted here because the pinke death forum is a bit longer than expected.

If it took 30 seconds to die, I'm guessing you did it wrong. I whack them, and they're dead in under 5 seconds, I would either find a quicker way, or perfect that one.

Mykee,
They are instantly rendered unconscious so they do not spend that 30 seconds of twitching suffering. I find wacking pinkies too touchy, they split very easily. Pinching is just as "humane" as wacking is, as long as the pinch is fast and hard.

Good to know, thanks. I'll stick to my very precise whacking though, little too hands-on for me.

For pinkies, I've always just used a good solid flick to the back of the head. Kills them instantly. But then again, I've also never seen the harm in feeding pinkies live, so mostly I don't bother.

Feeding pinks live runs the risk of getting them stuck on live. I would only feed live to new hatchlings and even then i've seen hatchlings eat the pinks alive.
