Cool todays gonna rock!

today will be great, last day of school an i get to do my project for class. that may not sound too exciting, but my project is on colombian red tail boas. and i get to bring one in! so ofcourse i'm not bringing in the little 2 foot male. I'm bringing the big fat 6 foot female. me and only two or three people are excited about it. every one else begged me not to bring snake, but ofcourse i am! i did last year too, i got to bring in 4 snakes for my fish and wildlife class. it went great, every one thought they would be scared of the snakes but almost every one held them. i feel happy when they get over there fears and see just how cool snakes are. i think its good also cause well, almost every one around here are red necks and enjoy killing them. i hope that the few times i get to bring my snakes it shows some of them that snakes are good animals and shouldn't be killed for pleasure or from fear. long post, sorry about that, just too excited.

thanks guys, i'm pretty sure i got a 100% on that presentation =) was very easy, just held my snake and read off facts about them. got a lot of weird questions but atleast i educated them. one the red neck guys wanted to make boots out of her =\ but alot of people thought she as great, i let alot of people hold her, the people that weren't scared poop less of her really liked her, but alot of peope were half screaming. i even gave out my number to 1 guy who wants to see the rest of my reptiles and i gave my number to another guy that doesn't want to be scared of snakes any more so i want to help him get out of that fear. it was a very fun day. this one girl, shes so pretty, i told her the snake might go down her shirt, but i wont stop her HAHA.

There are at least three school teachers on here and all of us have reptiles as class pets. The students love it!
Cheers,
Trevor

michele,

It is amazing to see how peoples reactions and perceptions change over such a short time when they are educated and have the chance to see and hold a snake. Still you will never get rid of all the red neck comments. LOL.

Ugh... I hate those kind of remarks, I used to hear it at least once a day when I was doing shows at my old job. Glad it was otherwise a successful day for you! Too bad so many people were still so scared, did any of them leave the room?
