Most BP's are head shy, It's just the way they are. It will be head shy but might get a little better with time.

95% of my balls are headshy. Why would you want to pet their head anyway?

All of mine are really headshy as well, some even freak out when i walk 3 feet in front of their enclosures.

They are little wussies, but still a joy to own, thats for sure.

I don't understand why people think that snakes that are headshy are wussies. I don't know about you but if something bigger than my head was going to touch it and I wasn't sure about what it was or what it's intentions were, i'd be a little agitated too!

If something that was about 3-5 times bigger than my head were trying to touch my head I would be scared s***less !!!!!! I would either dodge it, or defend myself and bite it! (most likely bite! Lol)

My bp was headshy the first time I held it-think i moved to fast and/or startled it. it now lets me rub it's head if i move slow. he'll sometimes 'yawn' afterwards. he doesnt jump or freeze up or anything. I figured i'd get him used to it for vet visits, etc.

My bp is headshy if you move quickly, but now he lets me hold his head (sometimes) just to check it. The faster I move, the more headshy he will be.

My girl wouldn't let me even touch her neck close to her head for awhile after I first got her. Now that she knows me and trusts me she's run her head between my fingers and even let me prop her head on my fingertip under her chin. She's doesn't like me to rub the top of her head but she doesn't jerk away when I do it. Once you develop that trust with your snake it'll get used to it. No need to worry.

I don't get why you would want to touch the snakes head? It's not a dog! I imagine it being like a stranger coming up and touching your face. Uhh..no thanks!
