Water proofing wood...

I'm going to make a cage out of Plexi glass but the frame will be made of wood... There is small trim of wood on the inside of the cage and I was wondering how I could water proof it to prevent it from rotting... Any suggestions?

yes, I was going to try and order this from Canada but the link seems to be dead, try talking to Linds about it, it's called epoxal 3:1.
www.niacoat.com (just in case it's working again.)

Epoxy works great, but is hard to apply, and takes a long time to cure. You can also try marine enamel, but that is very expensive. Can't really win.

I noticed you're in Calgary... where are you getting the plexi from?
