What does These mean??

Hey. i've seen all kinds of threads with little decimal numbers like 1.1 or .1 things like that. what do they mean??

Its a number system to show how many animals of what sex someone is talking about. Like this:

males.females.unknown sex

So if you have two male snakes, one female and one unknown it would look like this:
2.1.1
