enclosure question

If anyone has and advice on this subject Id really appreciate your help.
If I was to cover the inside of my Glass tank with tiles (basic vinyl flooring tiles), what would be the best type of glue or sealant to attach them to the glass so they would stay on properly??

hey snake guy i used a 90 hold epoxy glue but you have to heat it once its dried and air it out big time before putting your snake in it. Mine is still air drying and has been for the past 2 days.

Yuo could also go with self sticking vinyl flooring tile lol they sell them at rona for like 0.49cents a tile or in boxes of 45.

Actually I was going to try that self-sticking tile. DO you have any idea if it would stay on glass properly??

i honestly couldn't tell you that for sure cause there is the factor of heat and cooling. Not to mention the fact that the tiles aren't exactly made to be put on walls. I'd would just epoxy it from the start that way you know your not going to have any problems. Thats what I did and it worked like a charm. Hope all goes well look forward to hearing from you apon completion.

Hey Snake_hunter I tried the self stick vinyl tiles but after about 30min they fell off LOL. I am now tring contact cement and will let you know.

If you have a glass bottom, why the hell are you trying to stick vinyl flooring to it? Is the glass not waterproof enough?

i'm planning on putting tiles on wood not glass, i guess i should have mentioned that.

Actually I used them on the sides and back. The back had a few small cracks in it so when i taped it the it didn't look all that nice. The tiles worked great With Contact-Cement(2.99) and then it looked nice on the back I did the sides as well Holds heat and humidity much better this way as well.

Invictus and dvs i think that the tile on glass is a good idea cause you can buy tiles that look like rocks and you can also get them in green colours to match with the plants and such so its just to make a nice showcase with thats all.
