Go to china town or korea-town and get them there - it is cheapest there usually. You can also ask your local fish monger to give you any scraps they won't sell and see if that works...if your in the Chicago area, contact EricW. via CHS meetings...he is a fish monger in Chi-town.
He will eat them as well as gold fish. I never feed gold fish or guppies though. The possibility of them carrying parasites worries me. I give mine a ground turkey and egg mix along with rodents and some crayfish and fresh water shrimp when I see them in a store. You can usually get crayfish and shrimp in a frozen seafood section of a supermarket.
