Yes, provided that they are roughly the same size, the enclosure is big enough for both of them etc. You cannot house two males in the same enclosure, they will fight.

Hope this helps.

I think it would be a risk housing the two ogether. It COULD cause breeding when they are to young, excessive breeding, and stress. None of theese are good for your animals. Have you considered maybe getting two females? Then you can house theese two together for ever because they will sledom fight. If your intent was breeding then its just safer and easier to get a second enclosure.

Yes they will breed at an early age. Males are ready to get it on when they hit the 6-8 month mark, but it unsafe to breed feamale this young. I prefer to wait until they are 18 months old and have a good weight on them at least 50-60 grams (for females). as stated above if you leave them in the same cage at all times the male will continue to mate even if the female isn't ready and you will have clutches back to back and cause unneeded stress on the female. I introduce my male twice a year to my females and thats it. My females will lay usually around 6 clutches a season with this method and all turn out fertile. Plus they don't have the stress of the male wanting to get it on ALL the time. and i can monitor thier weight better this way. If their not up to the level i think is necessary i won't introduce the male to them. Housing 2 males toghether is a big no no also. Males will either fight to the death or cause stress to the smaller male and possible he( the smaller one) won't eat.

I don't believe a male and female should be housed together, just the two of them. It would be too stressful for the female, since she is the only female for him to pester. If you have a large tank, and want to keep maybe five females, then you could have a male in there. But with only one female, it will be too stressful for her.

also if u separate them and then introduce them at a later age they'll mate within the day instead of them living together for a while and not being sure if they mated yet. then u can remove the male again.

lol, trying to get stars. it's about quality, not quantity. Numerous folks here that have made lots of posts whose advise I would never take with double or triple checking, then there are those whose posts are usually right on or far above the knowledge expected. Ask smart questions, reseach on your own, keep your own observations and records for comparison, if you really want the extra knowledge look for the science research of experts, I might find ol crock hunter silly on TV but look diferently at his studies and conclusions. Some is harder to find but many insititutes, individuals, and science journals are available online if you look. 5000 posts to the joke forum or saying nice snake you own there doesn't make for a herp expert. Search here is much under used, both by topic and by name. Doesn't take much to look back and check, the 2 week old "I just got my first *insert*" and then advising you like they are world's expert (just an exaggerated example) is suspect in my book, just the same someones first post may be a listing of years of experience and education and success in husbandry. Stars and ranking really doesn't mean much, they are more just for fun and games. Don't worry I think most of us went thru it for a bit, just keep it in perspective lol.
