My new baby albino Kingsnake.
I absolutely love the colors on this guy/gal. Never had an albino king before.....will the colors change much as it gets older? It is only a month or two old, I would guess.

The pinkish parts will become more solid white as it matures. Might be a few years. My albino female only started turning from white to pink in her 3rd year. Congrats!
Edit: Oh, and the yellow may intensify a lil too. Depending on how old it already is. Hatchlings come out close to white and start getting more yellowish through each shed.

Thanks for the compliments! I didn't know you could sex Kingsnakes visually....can someone give me some pointers? My experience is in boids.
I imagine he/she is only a month or two old....only about 10-12" long, and eating mouse pinks that make a very slight lump. I hope the yellow stays that bright!

About 90% of snakes can't be sexed visually. Most of the time it's a guess and mistakes happen frequently when sexed visually. Only 100% method is probing.

By looking at the tail, I'd guess female but Vanan is right, the only way to tell 100% is probing.
Nice amel though!

Same as others said, pink will turn white, yellow may or may not intensify. I would say that is a female because it has an extremely short tail and tapers very quickly.
