Buying herps through the Classified Forums?

Just courious would anyone actually buy a herp from someone in the classified forum from some who's only got 2 or 3(or even a dozen) post on the board and they are all in the classified section?

I like to browse that section and you see it quite regularly. I dont think I personally would. Mainly a trust issue and I think I would be more inclined to support the community with thier participation than someone who uses it just as a sales forum.

We've got a bunch of things from various people here in the classifieds without a single problem.
If you are skeptical, you could always ask for a reference.. just my $0.02

Regardless of how often someone posts or how much they participate it goes without saying that whenever you buy an animal you should not do so sight unseen. If you buy an animal from the ads on here, from a pet store, directly from a breeder or from your own mother it's common sense to check that animal over before you fork out the cash and make sure it is in the expected condition. There can be clues about what kind of person the seller is but key things are the health and value of the animal.

i personally do not agree with the people that are buying cheap and trying to make a buck by selling it at a mark up,
i understand that we are all trying to make a living 1 way or another but when i generally buy an animal i keep it not turn around and have it up for sale the same day i get it home.
