2 of my holdback sonorans & 2 yr old sonoran
Xen is my 4 mo. old male sonoran and Shade is my 4 mo. old female sonoran. Had them out for awhile yesterday to try and cheer me up after losing my only male rubber boa (he escaped).
Xen:

More pics of xen: <a href="http://chaoscat.lowerground.net/herps/sonorans/xen/">XEN</a>
Shade:

More pics of shade: <a href="http://chaoscat.lowerground.net/herps/sonorans/shade/">SHADE</a>
The two of them togther:

More pics of them both: <a href="http://chaoscat.lowerground.net/herps/sonorans/xen-shade/xs-pics.html">XEN & SHADE</a>
They aren't kept together, just had them both out for pics at the same time. Xen is much darker and slightly smaller than Shade. He also has green/yellow/red iridescence, while Shade has blue/pink iridescence. Both as hissy as can be, but once out, they are calm and easy going.
Here's a couple of Shade, compared to my 2 year old Sonoran female, Nassa:

I sure hope Shade keeps her silver!

Those snakes are so incredible. I wish they were available in Canada.

Though not common, they do pop up from time to time in Canada. I'm sure in the coming years there will be more people working with them as well
