Question laws

Does anybody know where to gget laws on field collecting?

Try your local game and fishery department the should know
hope that helps here in Canada and I think this applies to the U.S.A it's illagel to collect and keep or sell native species but I"m sure your local game and fishery deepartment will know good luck

There's a book titled "A FIELD GUIDE TO REPTILES AND THE LAW" by John P. Levell 1997 published by Serpent's Tail pub. that gives herp laws of each state.You should check the Game commission or equivalent in the state you plan to herp in before going out though.Each has it's list of protected species and limits. I got mine from the author but I would assume you can order it from Barnes and Noble etc. or zoobooks@ptel.net Good luck, and post pics, Mark

better to check with fish and game or other collectors, new stuff is always coming out that may not be in books
