Every 2 weeks or every 3 weeks?
Okay, my female ETB ate two saturdays ago. I was going to put her an on odd-week feeding schedule, but she ate an oversized rat. The lump that the rat made is gone now, but should I give her an extra week to digest? Or is there no danger in feeding her again tonight?
Thanks!
Zoe

Oui, elle vient de Mike Vince... elle a un peu de vert, mais elle est encore rouge. J'ai hate qu'elle tourne vert! Elle devrait changer bientot, elle aussi a une année.

Zoe, I have tried for the past couple of days to reply to your last PM, but your box was full.
We feed our neos every 7-8 days, live crawler/hopper mice, progressing to prekilled, then to small rat pinks/fuzzies as soon as they have grown enough to take that size. Around six months, we go to about every 10 days for a few more months, then about every 12 days until they are subadult size. Of course, you increase the feeder size as they grow. Since she kept down that huge meal, there should be no problem with smaller more frequent meals to get her growing. Just feed her something of a size to cause a just barely noticeable bulge. Make sure she goes to the bathroom by every third feed, although once on rat pinks/fuzzies, it will be mostly urate as that size/age of feeder gets digested VERY well.

Oh, forgot about your ?. Has she gone to the bathroom for you yet? If she's not a biter and doesn't get upset about being handled, I would take her out and play with her to see if you can get her to go. Two weeks should be enough time for it to be well digested, but if she doesn't go, I would give her a few more days, try to get her to go again, and then, regardless, give her a small meal. Just make sure she goes after that one before she eats again. You don't want her to have problems and prolapse.
Karen

Gosh Karen you are SO helpful!!!
Do you really not think she is a yearling? Mike had a lot of them that were still red, only a few were green when I saw them.
She did pass urate, yup. I'm going to give her a pinky tonight, my rat just gave birth so I have some tiny ones.
Thanks!
Zoe
