Little girl ate

I was amazed by the size of the prey my 3 month old BCI took. She had escaped and eventually (a month later) found her way into the mouse cage. She killed and ate an adult mouse. I wish I had seen her in action and I also wish I had a camera to get a pic of her belly. I guess a month without food made her ambitious.

Cheers, Mark

That's great you ended up getting her back!

She won't escape any time soon: a) she is too fat b) I have a thousand cords and wires holding the lid down

They do make locks you can pick up at your local pet store for many types of enclosures. I would suggest a simple lock as opposed to having to pile things on top of the lid.

HETFORHUMAN:

Yeap me too, there really should never be an esacpe story about snakes if people do the top best to make any chance of escape possible.

There is no pile of things on the top on the enclosure. I simply drilled holes around the edge and ran wires through to hold it securely. The escape happened because I underestimated her abilities.
