Heavy Snowfall Warning!!??
Wouldn't you freakin know it, only four days till the fall show and environment canada has issued the warning for the next 24 hrs. Well, I guess that's what you get for scheduling any event in Calgary.

Don't worry... it's going back up to 22 degrees by Thursday.
By the way, for those who have never been to Calgary, we have a saying here: "If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes. It'll change."
Those who do live here know that this is not humor... it's the brutal truth.

Yeah, the winter sports enthusiasts love it. I can personally very easily live without it.

Somebody shut the door, It's getting cold down here. I don't know why you Canadians are so proud of your snow. Everybody knows a hurricane is worth 10 snowstorms.
Shoot, I said snow in Atlanta now I've got to go buy bread and milk before they run out.

By the look of the last satellite shot, Isabel is gonna hit you so hard I'll be able to catch the flying peaches all the way up here!
Batten down the hatches and put the snakes in the barn!!
By thursday you'll wish it was snowing instead.

Snow???? I don't see much of that here on the Wet Coast. I hear that is what happens to rain in March. That is when we get snow here. The blizzard of '96 dumped a whopping 3-6 feet on us. Shut the whole south island down. I lost power and phone for 4 days. It was a crisis. We ran out of beer. Government refused to send out the reserves to bring us more. Where are MY tax dollars going ?!?!

well it seems you wouldn't survive a real canadian winter...what the hell do you need the reserves for?....lol....3-6 feet that is nothing....god we drive on that....100 inches of snow we got in March of 96 and then they finally decided to shut the city down for 1 whole day...no reserves were needed. us calgary people know how to deal with snow...hell it snnows here in the middle of the summer...nothing new to us!!!!!

Blargh! Winter sucks! I get sick all throughout, my skin dries out to the point where it's cracking and bleeding, and well, I hate being cold! :grumps: But, since I live in a place that gets Chinooks, I'm not nearly as depressed about it as I was when I lived down North in Edmonton. Besides, right now I'm enjoying my favourite season of all...fall!
