Enclosure for 2 beardies

I am currently looking for some input on how large an environment for 2 beardies should be. We have heard various ideas on size.

Also, what is the best method to heat beardies. I am thinking we want to go with overhead lighting as opposed to heat pads? Is this wise?

Sorry if this sounds n00bish?

I keep one male in a 40g breeder tank. I use both overhead and UTH for mine. He doesn't get much use for the UTH it's covered with a hide he rarely uses. Overhead is a must for them though. You need to provide a basking area.
