Hey, I was thinking about getting one of these if I can find one anywhere.
I can built an 8'x2'x2' enclosure, is this good enough?
And can I feed them a lot of fish?
How much should I expect to pay for a CB baby?
You should expect to pay around 50$ for a plumbed basilisk.
If the dimensions are lengthXwidthXheight, you may want to expand the width and height a bit: width should be 3-4 feet, height should be about 3 feet. Your dimensions could work, but bigger is better.
You can feed them fish, but I wouldn't over do it. Variety is key.

Yes Basilisks are fairly active lizards- they like to climb, so height is very important in a cage, and they are also kind of skittish ... meaning they have been known to run around a lot when nervous or scared ... so i think it would be best to have some width and depth to the cage just as Brock suggested.
i have 4 green basilisks-bob, betty, barb, and basil,.
we love our basilisks, we have ours in a 4x4x4ft box, with lots of high areas, they love to jump.lots of stones and branches, they love crickets and meal worms, mine do not bite.
