My name is Colleen
Hello, i am from USA. the state of Pennsyvania, on the northeast side, which is below Monteal and Ottawa. I am getting two crested Gecko babies on thursday that i ordered from LLLReptile. I don't know if they ship to Canada or not. I have been posting on the Rhacodactylus page, and not realizing this site is mainly from Canada. I know a lot of American companies do not ship to Canada and vice versa. i am 35 yrs old, Married, but no human children. I am a bat rehabilitator. I currently have 3 juvenile Big Brown bats to be released in the spring.

Welcome Colleen, How did you get into rehabbing bats?
As for the site, the owner/webmaster may be from canada but that doesn't mean that the site is mainly for canadians, it's for everyone...

Welcome Colleen. Someone brought up the subject of bats as pets in the general forum a few weeks ago. I also think they are among the cutest creatures in the world.

Thanks everyone. it is illegal to own bats as pets in the USA, b/c of the rabies thing. i have had my vaccines, and a licence, so i can handle them. if it weren't for the rabies thing, i would totally tell people to have them as pets. they are wonderful, but need a lot of room to fly. i have a screen tent for them to learn to fly. the babies are just learning, but not doing great. i think they are on the chubby side.( i need to cut back on the meaworms.)
As for my French, it Sux, so i got " Welcome to the site", and something about little bats. sorry i'm not very good at it.
My baby Crested Geckos will be here on Thursday and i am SO excited.

i love bats, bats are my friends....they eat all those pesky mosquitoes!!! and since we have 100 acres we gots lots of mosquitoes.....my son and I want to build bat homes...any low budget suggestions so we can make lots?? I rescued 2 bats from my reptile room.....i actually believe it was the same bat on different days, i think it was enjoying my bountiful supply of crickets and thought it was an all you can eat buffet (crickets are in a large rubber maid with no lid)
