Opinions needed on feeder suppliers

Hello All!

I've been getting my rat pups locally since I got my snake, but I have never liked the quality or the price of them. Can anyone recommend a supplier (preferably in Canada) that could supply me with some good quality rat pups. Also, are there bigger rats available other than full grown rats. Like a fuzzy or hopper rat? Can these also be ordered from suppliers?

Thanks

Dave

I am in the States but buying bulk is the only way I could feed mine. I go through 100+ feeders a month my mouse order alone is 400 jumbo(35+gr),100 adults(25+), and 50 juvies(18+). Also buying this way you can calculate your animals minimum grams per year or max/min and take an average. This helps you calculate your next order, I know if I plan to buy a neo gutata that will be 3-7 pinks, 10 fuzzies, 5-8 hoppers, for use before brumation, I also know that I will need 5 juveniles, and 30 adults for him to last the entire next season. Most people don't need this, an order of fifty a year for each snake more than enough information. I knew that I was hoping for 40 neonates this season so I ordered 150 pinks last January. I average probably 0.53(including shipping) per 18gr or larger animal on an order of 500-1000 and jumbo mice over 34 grams make the bulk of all my orders. If your really lucky you live within driving distance(I'd drive 5 hrs one way for cheaper) of the facility and pick up instead of shipping. Rodentpro has jumbo rats for $1.25 USD on orders of 30+ but you would probably need to order 200+ before the cost of shipping pays off. Most of the big places feed lab blocks and vacuum seal in packs about the size of a round steak lol.

We've resorted to breeding our own and we still have problems keeping up. Lol
