Hoggie bedding.

Just curious what everyone uses as substrate for their hognose.
I've heard lots of ideas but what is in general practice ?

I don't own a hognose because they are illegal here, but I use finely-shredded aspen for all my colubrids as well as my kenyans. I wouldn't recommend the sawdust form for the same reasons I don't recommend sand.

And, I get my aspen from Wal-mart. That's actually the only place I've been able to find the fine shred.

Thanks Invictus. I shall have a peek at our local Wal-Marts. Haven't noticed it before but wasn't looking that closely.

The hog is probably the only snake I have that I will keep on care fresh, little girl loves tunneling through it
